Selling Nancy Place

After almost three years owning my cute little townhouse on Nancy Place, the time has come to spruce her up and pass her on to the next owner.

The decision was easier than I expected, though much in part due to the fact that I haven't been living there for the past nine months. We had been renting the property to some fantastic girls, but decided that being landlords wasn't really our thing and we wanted to use the profits from the sale for a payment on our next home.

If I let myself dwell on the fact that we're really selling, my heart gets a little sad. It was my first major "adult" moment as I purchased it all by myself. I've had some fantastic memories at the t-house..ones I will cherish forever.

It was a whirlwind end of August with the girls moving out and getting our massive "to do" list accomplished, but we did it! After many hours of painting, moving, fixing, and cleaning, the property was ready to list. It officially went on the market a week ago and we're hopeful to sell as soon as possible! Stay tuned...

Putting together our bedroom

Our bedroom walls used to wear an ugly version of sage green with a few patchy spots. I couldn't take it any longer, so I freshened it up with my favorite color: blue. Lucky for me, I found the perfect shade at Home Depot -- it was an "oops" can, so it only cost me about $7!

Next up: refinishing a dresser to double as a TV stand....stay tuned.

From the Carlson bathroom: Spring has sprung

Ankle pants in full force. Oh, and adding in color of course.

From the Carlson bathroom: Good

Good outfit AND good hair day?! This never happens.

The walls go up!

The walls have risen! Progress on our basement renovation is coming along with great strides -- much thanks to the help of the Kvamme brothers and Andy's friends. We've built the walls, put up sheetrock and selected carpet. Next up: mudding, sanding, priming and painting!
